SATAKE Knives

Satake is built on the japanese tradition of damascus swords and knives. The damascus steel is forged in the same way as a samurai sword - layer upon layer is folded and hammered out 62 times, giving the blade its characteristic pattern.

In 1994 the brand Satake started the production for the Nordic market in the Satake Cutlery factory in Seki City, Japan. Satake started out with two different series of knives - Novac Series and Houcho Series - both are still in the current assortment. Today Satake have a wide range of knives and kitchenware - all designed with the japanese tradition in mind as well as the kitchens and cuisine of the Nordic countries.
