Satake Ame is a beautiful series of knives with power, strength, balance, and tradition as key elements in the design. The name Ame is Japanese and means rain, something that has inspired the design of the blade. The so-called "Rain Pattern" on the blade is not only visually appealing but also prevents ingredients such as potatoes from sticking to the blade when cutting.

Petty knives are small kitchen knives in Japanese design. Pettys and paring knives can vary significantly in both profile and size, ranging from 75mm to 150mm. Petty knives are ideal for small and intricate tasks on the cutting board.
Santoku is perhaps the model of Japanese knives that has established itself best in the rest of the world. The design varies greatly, but it often has a higher profile than Western chef knives (Gyutos) and a stronger rounding at the tip. It is very common for chefs to use their Santoku for almost everything when it comes to cooking. A Santoku is excellent for vegetables, root vegetables, fish, poultry, and meat.
Kiritsuke knives are beautiful knives with a long blade for making long and continuous cuts, which in turn results in fine slices of raw fish or other ingredients that need to be delicately sliced. The knives should be kept very sharp to achieve clean and fine cuts.
- Vril - or masur as it is also called, is a growth on a tree where the fibers go in different directions instead of vertically. Vril/Masur wood is highly sought after because it is incredibly beautiful and harder than ordinary wood.
